Berlin, June 25, 2019 – Beta Systems, together with KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, has prepared a white paper on Identity & Access Management and the demonstrable implementation of regulatory requirements. It shows what auditors today pay attention to in connection with access authorizations and how companies can effectively avoid audit findings with the help of identity management solutions.
Many companies are subject to strict regulatory requirements such as MaRisk or GDPR or commit themselves to compliance with various standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 or COBIT in order to protect their IT in-house. These regulations and standards also contain extensive specifications on the subject of Identity Access Management. To ensure that these requirements are met, companies are audited externally or by their own auditors. In this context, it is helpful to be able to present targeted audit analyses in order to fulfil a fast data provision for the auditor and thus be able to prove the compliance with compliance requirements and document deviations if necessary.
Using detailed checklists, the whitepaper shows how companies can demonstrably implement regulatory requirements, e.g. in the area of functional separation, recertification or the evaluation of historical authorizations. Multidimensional analyses enable detailed risk assessments and the creation of meaningful compliance indicators that are not possible with conventional reporting systems.
