Berlin, July 1, 2019 – Beta Systems Software AG today acquired the HABEL / Akzentum Group through its newly founded subsidiary, PROXESS Holding GmbH.
The HABEL / Akzentum Group conducts its operating business primarily through its two wholly owned subsidiaries HABEL GmbH & Co KG and Akzentum GmbH. Both companies have been active in the field of document management systems for many years. With their products HABEL DMS and PROXESS DMS, they offer their customers complete solutions in the areas of archiving, document recognition and workflows, and support their medium-sized customers in digitizing and automating their business processes. Approx. 90 employees look after approx. 2,600 customers, with a focus on Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
With this acquisition, Beta Systems Software AG can significantly strengthen its product portfolio in the DCI (Data Center Intelligence) business area, also outside mainframe applications.
The acquisition will take effect on January 1, 2019 and the group will be managed as an independent company within the Beta Systems Group. The current management will remain with the Group and will continue business operations as usual.
