Berlin, December 16, 2019 – Beta Systems Software AG has acquired a majority stake (80%) in infinIT Codelab Poland via a subsidiary. With this acquisition Beta Systems significantly expands its software development capacities and expands its portfolio in high-growth market segments in the non-mainframe area.
Beta Systems receives valuable additional development resources in times of an increasing shortage of skilled workers. infinIT Codelab is a software development service provider with around 200 employees in the competence centers Szczecin and Wroclaw. With their extensive experience and professional competence, the highly qualified employees can support and accelerate the expansion and further development of the existing Beta Systems product portfolio in the areas of network, cloud, artificial intelligence/machine learning.
With this future-oriented investment, Beta Systems has acquired state-of-the-art technology know-how in areas that are gaining importance in the digital economy. The technological competence lies in the development of embedded software systems, IoT solutions, connectivity and web portals for companies in the automotive, telecommunications, eCommerce and medical technology industries.
The infinIT Codelab is characterized by many years of expertise in the development of software solutions for the automotive industry. The company is one of the world’s leading automotive suppliers. The 2019 study “Automotive software and electronics 2030” by strategy consulting firm McKinsey predicts dynamic growth for automotive software of 9% CAGR by 2030.
